Deriner Dam is a dam located on the Çoruh River in Artvin, whose construction began in 1998 for the purpose of generating energy. With a dam height of 249 meters, it is the tallest dam in Turkey and the 6th tallest dam in the world. Deriner Dam and HES is located on the Çoruh River in the Eastern Black Sea Region, 5 km upstream from the bridge on the State Highway connecting Artvin Provincial Center to Erzurum Provincial Center.
