The high-speed railway line, which is being constructed with a length of 508 km and a speed of 250 km/h, is planned to include over 1,000 tunnels, viaducts, bridges, overpasses, underpasses, and culverts.

The Ankara-Izmir High-Speed Train Line Project (AİYHT) is a major project under the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, connecting Ankara, the capital of Turkey, to Izmir, the third largest city in Turkey in terms of population density. The main line of the high-speed train route, which is 503.3 kilometers long, passes through the provincial borders of Ankara, Eskişehir, Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Uşak, Manisa, and İzmir. Upon completion of the project, stations and stops will also be located in Emirdağ, Afyonkarahisar, Uşak, Salihli, Turgutlu, and Manisa.
