The scope of the dam construction includes 2,400,000 m³ of fill consisting of various layers, 50,000 m³ of concrete in the spillway, powerhouse, intake structure, and shaft constructions, and approximately 1,000 tons of industrial manufacturing in forced pipes, valves, covers, and gratings.
The excessive permeability resulting from the region where the dam core was placed being composed of permeable alluvium caused significant difficulties in draining the water seeping into the approximately 24 m deep dam foundation and placing the clay core. It has become difficult to pump the water leaking at a rate of around 600 m3 per second, so as a precaution, an alluvial injection curtain has been installed on the source side. This reduced the amount of water leaking to 250 m³/s.
