Brief information about the construction of Istanbul Atat\u00fcrk Airport (formerly known as Ye\u015filk\u00f6y):<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>

Construction began on January 19, 1977, and was completed in June 1980. <\/span><\/p>

a. Runway 2,300 m x 60 m x 0.35 m <\/span><\/p>

b. Cargo apron 150 m x 100 m x 0.35 m <\/span><\/p>

c. Rafters and connections 1,500 m x 22.50 m x 0.35 m <\/span><\/p>

d. Electrical cable ducts 10,000 m <\/span><\/p>

e. Drainage system throughout the entire area <\/span><\/p>

f. Connection and service roads approximately 50 km <\/span><\/p>

The project calls for 2.50 m thick backfill, 90 cm thick crushed stone material as sub-base and base material, and 35 cm concrete pavement. Rock transported from quarries 25 km away was crushed at the ERG-manufactured crushing plant to produce crushed aggregate base and foundation material. ERG design and manufacture of a concrete plant with a capacity of 100 m\u00b3\/hour <\/span><\/p>

has been used. Concrete aggregate was obtained by crushing rock in ERG-manufactured crushing and screening washing plants, and sea sand was used. Similar construction machinery and equipment used in the construction of Antalya Airport, such as sprefini\u015fer, joint cutting, and joint filling machines, were also used in the Ye\u015filk\u00f6y construction. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
